Church of Joy is a movie about an Artificial intelligence named Joy who lives in the new self-help app "J.O.Y." Set in the not-so-distant future, the world is riddled with natural disasters, over-population, and technology. The app was created to try and assist the population's rising levels of stress, but does JOY have other plans?
Church of Joy is a movie about an Artificial intelligence named Joy who lives in the new self-help app "J.O.Y." Set in the not-so-distant future, the world is riddled with natural disasters, over-population, and technology. The app was created to try and assist the population's rising levels of stress, but does JOY have other plans?
The inspiration for the design came from old 1980's VHS boxes. The goal was to have a retro feel for a modern day film while still telling the narrative of the movie. The final design features a cracked phone screen of JOY, a weathered texture and a sticker to imply it is an old VHS box.
